March 26th, 2025: Proverbs 14.31

Proverbs 14:31
He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

How do we show love and respect to someone? It can be how we talk to them or about them, but also how we treat what is theirs. Our God is our Father, He is the Creator of us all. We are all His children. When we disrespect or hurt one another, we are doing so to one of Gods children. That should make an impact in our lives with how we treat each other. For sake of honoring our God, we need to treat each other with love and respect. Especially those who are already downtrodden in this world. Those who are poor and in need of help are specifically called out, because we have a loving and compassionate Father. God will make everything right in the end, but in the meantime we are called to be His representatives. We are supposed to show that love and help that God will when the Kingdom comes. How can we help those around us? How can we find those who are oppressed and needy? We need to pray for Gods guidance and help to be that light in this world. To love His children as He does.
