March 29th, 2025: Exodus 35.20,21

Exodus 35:20,21
20 Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel went out from Moses’ presence.
21 And everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit was willing came and brought the contribution to Yahweh for the work of the tent of meeting and for all its service and for the holy garments.

During the time in the wilderness, Israel was tasked to build the tabernacle (a mobile temple). God gave Moses specific plans for how He wanted it to be built. It involved precious metals and fabrics, things that were costly. Here we see how those materials were acquired; through donation from the people. They provided what was needed from a willing heart for their God. Sometimes God doesn’t ask us directly to do something, but waits to see how we respond. We are to continually be working on our heart so we can fulfill what He desires. If we find our hearts to be “stirred” or moved to help someone or some cause, we need to consider that may be what Gods desire is. He wanted Israel to build the tabernacle but only from a willing heart. Let’s be willing to do what God wants from us too!
