Psalms 55:22
Cast your burden upon Yahweh and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

This life is full of uncertainty. Whether unexpected life events, sickness, or unforeseen conflict, we will all have moments of burden. Times when we will feel weighed down by the events around us. Feelings of depression, anger, anxiety, or the like may be circling inside us resulting in confusion and uncertainty. Yet we are never alone despite how we may feel. We have a loving Father who wants us to lean on Him, to rely on His strength and not our own. If we do as the psalmist says and give all these burdens and feelings up to God, He will sustain us. This doesn’t mean all the problems will disappear (at least not yet), but we will have a firm foundation that will not let us fall into misery and despair. We do not have to feel lost or turn to sinful behaviors to cope with our burdens; instead, we have the greatest help of all in our Father and God!
