John 16.33
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.
The walk as a Christian is not one without troubles. To be a Christian is to live as Jesus Christ lived. When going through the account of his life, we find many times of heartache and tribulations; yet, he overcame all of it. Through his faith and reliance on God, he was able to live a perfect life. This should encourage us that we can do the same. He overcame so we can overcome. This is a peace that only Jesus can offer. There is no peace in the world’s “ heroes”; they only offer further troubles. But through living as Jesus did, we can be children of God as he was and with that have the courage to overcome anything that comes against us. Let us never forget the peace and example that our great Lord Jesus gave us in how to live our lives.
