Colossians 3.17
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
How different would we live if we could keep this in the forefront of our minds? If everything we did, we thanked God for it while saying that Jesus would approve of it, would our actions change? Not just what we do but also the things we say. It is so easy to fall into the actions and language of the environment around us and forget who we really are. We are called to be representing God, while living as Jesus did who showed God perfectly. It is a tall order but one that is doable as evident by the life of Jesus. Let’s thank God and live as He asks us to: loving Him and each other.
