April 30th, 2025: Matthew 6.33,34

Matthew 6.33,34
33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

It is amazingly simple how God works. There are no tricks or special rules or hidden information; God has plainly told us what is best for us. Just as we have parents in the world who may give us an offer of a house to sleep in, food, clothing, comfort; but what is asked is we listen to their rules and respect them. We always have the option to leave and try to make it on our own. Anyone who has left home knows it isn’t easy. Things aren’t just handed to you; but work is involved. This is the same in our spiritual lives. God knows what we need and wants to take care of us. If we refuse and leave God’s care and try to do it on our own, we will face many hardships. Because unlike our earthly parents, our heavenly Father has the power and ability to give us eternal life. When we walk away from Him, we are left with worry and trouble and a fearful end of our lives. So let’s seek Gods kingdom first and foremost, not worrying about tomorrow because God already has it taken care of.
