For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
— Matthew 6:14-15
How do you want God to forgive you? When we have sinned and done wrong to God, we often pray for forgiveness and plead that it is taken and washed away. Forgiven and forgotten. However how often do we do that to others? Sadly the world is full of times when we will be wronged or hurt by another. How do we handle those situations? Do we hold on to the hurt? What if they ask for forgiveness, do we believe it and move forward? If we think about it in the way we hope God treats us, these questions become simple. We hope that the wrong we’ve done will be blotted out and when we fail, even in something we’ve failed in before, we can still come to God and He will forgive us. Let’s do that same thing for all those who may have wronged us and forgive as we are forgiven.
