One thing I have asked from Yahweh, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of Yahweh
And to inquire in His temple.
— Psalm 27:4
What is our drive in life? It is a common question asked in business, fitness, or anything that is trying to motivate you to accomplish a goal. Yet as a Christian we don’t always pinpoint our drive. As David proclaims in his song of hope in God, his drive is to see God and be with Him all the days of his life. That is what should be driving us. To do Gods will, to follow after the footsteps of His beloved son Jesus, to listen and obey, all stems from a goal to see God. On the great judgment day, Jesus has been appointed Judge and all the living and dead will be set before him. At that time all the wicked will be destroyed and then God will come back to earth. The wicked will never see God but the righteous will! That should be our drive, to see God and be with Him! If that is our motivation, what sin could ever beset us? What could ever been better than to be with our Father and Creator, the great God almighty!
