June 16th, 2025: 1 John 1.6

If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not do the truth;
— 1 John 1:6

Truth isn’t a word that we often look at as a verb; yet here John is speaking that we need to “do the truth.” How do we do truth? It turns truth into not just a belief that something is true but into an action. We have to do the truth of God. We have to live our lives in accordance with what God’s truth says. This is the difference between walking in the light or walking in darkness: are we doing truth? That would require us to learn God’s truths to do them, along with making life-changing choices to align with those truths. Let’s continually learn and live and do The truth!
