The Idea of Willing Today

The plan and idea of WillingToday.org has been brewing for multiple years now. Actually started as an idea for a podcast (hopefully that’ll come to fruition too) but has evolved to what you see now. What has kept it in the shadows or just in my head has been a fear of the greater judgement given to teachers. Everything froze when I thought about producing something that might not actually be the truth. Presenting something as if this was really what the verse meant or God wanted us to get out of it; when in reality I was a mile off.

But then a wonderful event happened, I realized I am not an authority on the scriptures. It is not I who has the final say on what the Bible says, it is God working with His Spirit in us to show His word. I am required, just as you or anyone else, to serve my God everyday and to do my best in that. In learning about Him, about His son, about His wonderful hope of the resurrection and life with Him. If through my walk with God I can encourage others along the way (as we are told to do in Hebrews 3.13) then how great! Even if I may be inaccurate at this moment in my views, I can grow to understand more completely and share that process.

That change of mindset made it possible to do this. To put into writing or audio my thoughts on scripture and send it out for the world to find; because, if I am wrong this will allow that to become evident. This will allow for these conversations to be had so that Proverbs 27:17 can actually take place.

Proverbs 27:17 (LSB)
Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.

Ultimately we all will be held accountable for our own actions, thoughts, words, etc. but with the motive of our hearts being a pivotal part of that judgement (1 Corinthians 4.5). As long as I keep the right heart in trying to edify while being able to be edified as well, I will continue to present these thoughts and ideas and hope for discussion from others. I hope this website will be of some use for you and your walk with our wonderful Creator. Let us be willing today to encourage one another and serve our Great God. God bless!
