Here are some of the core convictions that have been revealed to us while studying through the scriptures. It is not a complete list of all our beliefs but gives a taste of our foundation. Each one is linked to an article further explaining in detail these convictions.
We Worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
John 17:3
3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.Deuteronomy 6:4
4 “Hear, O Israel! Yahweh is our God, Yahweh is one!John 4:22
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
Jesus is God’s Messiah
Acts 10:38
38 “You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.John 1:45
Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
John 1:49
Nathanael answered Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.”
The Dead are Asleep
John 11:11-14
11 He said these things, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go, so that I may awaken him.”
12 The disciples then said to Him, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will be saved from his sickness.”
13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He was speaking of actual sleep.
14 So Jesus then said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead,Acts 7:60
Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” And having said this, he fell asleep.
1 Corinthians 15:6
After that He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep.
Resurrection is Our Hope
Acts 24:14-15
14 “But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I do serve the God of our fathers, believing everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets;
15 having a hope in God, for which these men are waiting, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.1 Corinthians 15:12,13
Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised.
God’s Kingdom is on the Earth
Matthew 5:5
5 Blessed are the lowly, for they shall inherit the earth.John 3:13
13 “And no one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.Revelation 21:3,4
And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain. The first things passed away.”
The Reward of the Wicked is Complete Destruction
Malachi 4:1-3
1 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every worker of wickedness will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them aflame,” says Yahweh of hosts, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.”
2 “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.
3 “And you will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says Yahweh of hosts.
We Have to Change to Gods Morals
Romans 6:11-14
11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,
13 and do not go on presenting your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.1 Corinthians 6.9-11
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
